Listening to the Physics welcomes all levels to a committed Contact Improvisation series exploring center, structure and weight sharing in Kapoho.
Explore how dancers share weight and find their center together. Listening to the Physics, a Contact Improvisation series in Kapoho, offers practice in those mechanics alongside somatic and contemporary dance practices.
The announcement describes a committed series with the same group over five Mondays in November. The training explores center, structure, weight sharing and how lifts emerge through mechanics rather than strength. Its guiding principles include finding your own center, finding your center through another person, and moving with one center underneath the other.
All levels are welcome, including new and returning dancers. The announced investment options are $225, $250 or $275, with a $150 work-trade option.
